| Schimmel |
Grand |
Built in Braunsweig, Germany. This is a most unusual and rare model from this famous maker. The grand takes up a little more space than an upright, but due to the amazing design, it has strings but has strings comparable in length to a much longer piano, consequently giving it very good and balance. |

Grand |
Built in Hamburg in 1955. Model A. Serial No. 339 195. This fine piano retains all the original character one expects from this manufacturer. At this time we are still to repolish the high-gloss ebony casing and stool. The price of sale also includes fitment of new hammerheads. Original ivory keyboard remains. it is rare to find Steinways of this large size in South Africa; this is also a comparatively late model in these terms. |

UPRIGHTS

| Arthur Allison |
Upright |
Built in the 1920's. Termed amongst others, "Dracula's Piano", this is one of apparently two such pianos built. In an ebony casing, with ornate brass work, this would have been for exhibition when built. The Eshelby's owned this piano until about ten years ago, when it was sold, but have been extremely fortunate to have been given the opportunity to purchase it now. In the Eshelby's long history in the piano trade, such a piano has not been known before. This is an opportunity to own something unique. |
