Charges for Hiring Pianos

Charges are subject to change without notice due to conditions such as transport difficulties etcetera.  Contact us telephonically with any query you may have in this regard, or for any query regarding hire options other than monthly. 

• A copy of your identity document is required.
• Malicious damage will be charged for at normal repair rates.
• The piano cannot be moved unless by ourselves.
• Additional transport will be charged for at normal rates.
• Notice of one full month to be given on cessation of hire.
• Prices quoted are for a minimum hire period of three months (including notice).
• Hires for shorter periods are quoted at different rates due to transport costs.
• the piano remains the property of Eshelby Pianos.
• Pianos must not stand on under-floor heating, or too near a heat source.

• The piano, if moved during the guarantee period, must be transported by professional movers.
• Malicious or accidental damage by any party is not included in the guarantee.
• Normal servicing is not included in the guarantee and should be carried out on a normal and regular basis.
• The piano is expected to be placed and kept under reasonable conditions.
• Damage resulting from placement on under-floor heating, air-conditioning, excessive heat, or damp, is not included in the guarantee.
• Damage resulting from inferior workmanship by any party, other than ourselves, during the guarantee period is not covered. This includes strings that might be broken during tuning by such other party.

Prices quoted include a piano stool, guarantee, tuning, and transportation to the areas specified in the hire section. 

Transport to any address in southern Africa can be arranged, the cost will vary depending on the distance, the difficulty of the move and other unavoidable costs.

Prices quoted are on a cash basis unless other prior arrangements have been made with us..
